THE ROLE

As a GI/IT project manager, you will manage projects from start to finish. You will define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that support operational objectives. You will plan and define project schedules and milestones, and track and manage project risks. You will evaluate trade-offs between project scope and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value, and make recommendations on the way forward.
The incumbent estimates the resources and skills required to achieve project objectives and negotiates resource allocation with the requestor. You will establish complete project plans, progress reports, communication documents, and budgets. You will ensure regular liaison with stakeholders and assist the project team by assigning tasks and responsibilities.
This is a specialist role in which you will work as part of a team and apply your knowledge and skills on a daily basis. If technology excites you and you want to be part of a team that is becoming the orchestrator of digital innovation, this is the job for you.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education, certificates, and licenses
Diploma or certificate in business administration, computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field
Certificate Project Management Professional (PMP)
Experience
From planning, reporting, prioritizing, and budgeting regarding a project's resources
From managing IT/TI programs and projects, including those involving external suppliers
From implementing distributed systems
From managing project change and scope
From managing suppliers
From managing risk
From managing project milestones
From managing a project's budget
From verifying projects
From operational analysis
From developing requests for proposals
From IT/TI contracts
From software development and deployment

From CA Clarity Project Portfolio Management (PPM) systems (an asset)

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
English or French essential, Bilingualism (English and French) an asset

OTHER INFORMATION
This is a hybrid position with an assigned workplace; the employee may work partly in the employer's offices and partly at home, in accordance with SBMFC's Flexible Work Arrangements policy and with the approval of the supervisor.
Job type: Full-time temporary. The duration of employment will be determined according to project needs. We are establishing a pool of candidates to fill these positions.
