We currently have an opportunity at CHSLD Vigi de l'Outaouais, located at 565 boulevard de l'Hôpital in Gatineau and housing 96 residents, to fill the position of:

Recreologist

A full-time position

A mandate dedicated to a lively and dynamic living environment!

• You will carry out consultation and data collection processes as well as an analysis of the individual and collective needs of the hosted clientele;
• You will design, plan, organize, and control diversified, balanced, and adapted leisure activity programs to meet the needs of residents;
• You will organize and lead personalized, individual, group, or community activities that promote the well-being and pleasure of residents, while encouraging their involvement, that of their loved ones, volunteers, staff, and the community;
• You will ensure the role of resource person in support of the activities of the CHSLD Volunteer Association;
• You will search for and maximize the use of resources;
• You will intervene in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to improve the quality of services to the clientele.

A profile that makes a difference!

• You possess a Bachelor's degree in leisure, culture, and tourism or in another relevant university discipline.
• You have a good knowledge of specific approaches, including the lively living environment approach and the leisure approach for people living with cognitive deficits.
• You have a good knowledge and interest in managing a work team (volunteer association, volunteers, leisure interveners, community organizations).
• You are skilled in developing activity programs following the analysis of the needs of the hosted clientele.
• You are dynamic and have tact.
• You are a leader.
