MISSION We contribute by improving the health and quality of life of our vulnerable seniors living at home or in residential centers, the FAIS Foundation mainly finances social innovation projects aiming at commitment, inclusion and volunteering. VISION The FAIS Foundation is the bridge between seniors and the community wishing to contribute to the well-being of our vulnerable seniors through social innovation and research projects. RESEARCH In order to attract and retain in Quebec City talents of international caliber working in sustainable health research, the FAIS Foundation is proud to support its partner, VITAM, the sustainable health research center resulting from a contribution between researchers, the scientific directors, managers of the Integrated University Health and Social Services Center (CIUSSS) of the Capitale-Nationale. HISTORY The Foundation for Seniors and Social Innovation (FAIS) was born from the mergers of several foundations, some of which were formed 30 years ago. TERRITORY The Foundation provides support in particular through organizations as well as health and social services centers in the greater Quebec City region: - 8 CLSCs offering services to a population of nearly 350,000 people - 12 centers which accommodate more than 1300 people long-term care beds - 4-day centers for seniors - 4 family medicine units (UMF)
