Objective
The purpose of this position is to assemble, configure, integrate and test customer-ordered systems while ensuring that all products meet established production and quality standards. This role supports the efficiency of daily operations through hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, attention to detail and collaboration with internal teams to ensure systems are completed accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and integrate customer-ordered systems, including kit preparation, rack assembly and software loading.
- Configure and integrate third-party equipment as required by the customer.
- Perform factory acceptance tests.
- Troubleshoot equipment and system issues as needed.
- Review work instructions, procedures and checklists to ensure all required materials and equipment are ready and the work area is properly prepared.
- Perform visual inspections and ensure all work consistently meets established production specifications and quality standards.
- Follow company procedures and help maintain and update related documentation.
- Identify and report problems or issues in a timely manner.
- Provide support to internal departments as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized workspace.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach and excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and diagrams.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
- Ability to adapt to technical, production and procedural changes.
- Comfortable standing, bending, lifting and performing manual physical tasks throughout the day.
- Ability to safely lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Bilingualism is considered an asset.
- Ideally, 1 to 2 years of experience in electronics, mechanical assembly, logistics, or a similar hands-on environment.
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Must be proficient with computers and comfortable with basic computer functions, including Microsoft applications.
- Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (on-site). Must be available to work overtime as needed.
Education
- High school diploma required.
- A university degree in computer science, electronics, or a related field is considered an asset.
This position requires compliance with Comtech's drug-free workplace program. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment. The salary range reflects the expected base salary for this position. Final compensation will be based on role, level, skills, experience, and geographic location.
