Position: Senior Director, Financial Performance, Property and Casualty Insurance

As Senior Director, Financial Performance, your role is to support the property and casualty insurance sector in cross-functional and strategic financial mandates, leveraging your excellent knowledge of the sector. You are responsible for ensuring the delivery of activities arising from the sector's strategic directions and for developing and executing your team's master plan.

Your in-depth knowledge of the property and casualty insurance sector and your strategic mindset become essential skills. You have a thorough understanding of performance drivers, financial projections, financial statements, the cost structure of DGAG and competitors, and actuarial science, in addition to knowledge of business lines, products and distribution. Your abilities to develop talent, drive results and build networks enable you to effectively manage people and performance, ensure accountability, and ensure member and client satisfaction.

More specifically, you will be required to

• Support the Vice President by participating in defining directions and objectives* Develop and deliver the objectives and mandate of your main department based on strategic issues and intended results
• Ensure the execution of action plans for the administrative units under your responsibility, within a performance management context
• Implement management and communication practices that foster change management, talent attraction and retention, skills development, engagement and diversity, in line with the company's values
• Define and ensure the implementation of activities related to the service offering of your unit and ensure the delivery of projects under your responsibility (including cross-functional contributions) in order to maximize targeted business results and ensure member and client satisfaction
• Support the sector and its business lines in their strategic decisions and performance management Budgets, financial plan and anticipated results:

Leadership of the budgeting process for business sectors, integration with the strategic plan and with the Mouvement process

• Support the business sector by developing cost-benefit analyses that enable management to make relevant decisions
• Support the business sector in its growth ambitions by developing a financial structure or supporting the crystallization of partnerships that enable it to achieve its business objectives optimally
• Ensure the efficient and effective management and use of resources and processes on an ongoing basis

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a relevant discipline
• A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, including five years managing specialized professionals and managers
• Please note that other combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered
• Academic specialization in finance, mathematics or actuarial science
• Hold a professional designation as a CPA, CFA or actuary
• Knowledge of French required for positions in Quebec
• Advanced English proficiency due to the nature of the tasks, work tools or interactions with English-speaking partners, members and client(e)s
