Job Description
Your Mission
Your Main Daily Activities
- Verify the status of projects transmitted to the distribution network's operating system. Correct or have corrected the data and project drawings reported in error, and if required, support the concerned stakeholders in making the necessary corrections.
- Develop, create, modify data or drawings, analyze implementation scenarios, and propose alternatives for study, construction, maintenance, operation, manufacturing, or other technical information needs.
- Coordinate and ensure the update of data or drawings for all projects, including research, analysis, validation, compliance, execution, and compilation of requests to modify the distribution network, respecting current standards and processes. Participate in the design of various projects.
- Consult, as needed, the applicant and conduct research with third parties to obtain required clarifications or information for the project.
- Determine the complexity of projects to organize work among stakeholders, identify the nature of the work to be done, and prioritize projects in the systems. Analyze the data or drawings of accepted projects and ensure their compliance with current operating and engineering standards. Correct or have corrected design errors in projects and ensure follow-up.
- Maintain the inventory of unused plates, ensure replenishment and issue new plates to replace damaged or lost ones as required.
- Monitor the progress of ongoing projects to update project statuses in systems as work evolves. Analyze and validate the various steps to be taken in large-scale projects with the stakeholders involved. Perform, as work progresses, the actions required in systems to allow for commissioning at the right time.
- Extract reports to maintain inventory and ensure data or drawing compliance.
- Add, as needed, fictitious driver points and temporary maneuvering points and ensure their removal from the operating bank and systems.
- Receive changes to the initial project identified by the operator in systems, make or have the necessary corrections made. Ensure that project statuses are changed in accordance with the work process.
- Analyze reported anomalies, transmit a request for on-site verification to the concerned persons as needed, and ensure follow-up on corrections.
- Take charge, when required, of project document management including sorting, filing, storage and archiving of documents according to the retention schedule.
- Propose solutions to improve processes and ways of doing things.
Your profile
Requirements
- Hold a professional studies diploma (DEP) in surveying and topography, building design or industrial design or in a relevant field;
OR
- Hold a college studies certificate (AEC) in computer-assisted design or computer-aided design or technical drawing or a college diploma (DEC) in industrial design, geomatics, building mechanics, architectural technology or civil engineering or in a relevant field;
AND
- Three (3) years of experience in a drafting position or a similar role.
