
Overview of the Situation
Global supplier of choice, our employees are the heart of a solid and growing company. The company employs over 9,000 people worldwide; our sites include facilities in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. In Outaouais, we produce absorbent non-woven cellulose-based materials using the Airlaid process.
Our products are used, among other things, in the manufacture of feminine hygiene products, adult incontinence products, household cleaning products, etc.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the maintenance planner-supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the maintenance of the plant's equipment. He/She will have to minimize downtime related to electrical and mechanical problems with our production units. He/She will actively participate in our preventive maintenance program and in the development of equipment improvements. The schedule for this position is on 12-hour rotating shifts (day or night alternating).
Qualifications
- Hold a college diploma (DEC) in mechanical engineering or a professional diploma (DEP) in electromechanics or industrial mechanics.
- Experience in an industrial environment, preferably as an electromechanic or industrial mechanic.
- Possess excellent knowledge and work skills, prioritizing mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Have demonstrated through past experience a safe work attitude.
- Be able to analyze and correct mechanical, electrical, and operational problems.
- Be structured, well-organized, autonomous, and detail-oriented.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Possess a work evaluation demonstrating a high level of attendance and performance.
- Good understanding and skill in electricity would be an asset.
