Do you want to contribute to large-scale industrial projects that shape tomorrow's infrastructure? As a Senior Mechanical and Industrial Piping Designer, you will play a key role in the design and modeling of complex facilities for the mining and industrial sectors. By collaborating with multidisciplinary teams recognized for their expertise, you will participate in the development of innovative technical solutions that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. This opportunity will allow you to leverage your skills in 3D design and industrial piping while developing your expertise on various, stimulating, and impactful projects across Quebec and Canada.

Your impact

Prepare layouts and/or 3D schematics for conceptual and detailed designs of advanced complexity in 2D computer-aided design (CAD) drawings. Create 3D models in the Autodesk Plant 3D environment. Participate in model review sessions.

Review drawings and documentation on supplier equipment of moderate to advanced complexity in the discipline and in other disciplines to verify compliance with project requirements, and actively seek resolution of discrepancies. Assign work and verify work done by other designers. Integrate health, safety, and environmental factors into the design.

Analyze and formulate independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems of varying complexity, in accordance with the organization's and/or project's objectives and guidelines. Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as departmental practices and procedures.

The skills that set you apart

Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in mechanical engineering or professional training in industrial drafting. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Plant 3D, Navisworks, Revit. PDS, PDMS, AVEVA, CADWorx Plant & P&ID, SP3D, SmartPlant P&ID, AutoPlant, and Inventor (an asset). Familiarity with 3D point clouds and 3D modeling tools such as Autodesk Recap. 15 years or more of experience in piping design, particularly in the petrochemical, oil, and mining industries.

Experience in designing industrial equipment and knowledge of applicable industry standards and codes, recognized design practices, and quality standards. Bilingualism is necessary, as the individual will frequently be involved in projects for English-speaking clients and partners based outside of Quebec. Communication, ability to maintain relationships, and customer service orientation.

Technical excellence and great attention to detail. Possessing experience in consulting engineering.

MB & ON$48.70 - $67.10
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC$48.20 - $64.10
